I knew he was the one.

So this August 1st is going to be a very important day for us. It's our 3 wedding anniversary, and this year is a BIG deal we're getting sealed! I want to bring you guys back to how we met, and let everyone know how special John is to me not only as a husband, best friend, but an eternal soul mate. Some of you have heard this, some haven't but trust me my version is the real one... watch out for John's "version" he likes to alter it but you him that's just know how he is.

John and I first met back in February of 2006, at a club. I was out with friends having a great time and this tell dude comes up and out of no where stops and talks to me. Usually I would just totally blow guys like that off but I for some reason I just stood there and had a fun conversation with him! We talked for awhile until my old best friend was on the move and we decided to exchange numbers. He invited me to an NBA FINALS game Mavericks vs Lakers court side seats. We talked almost right up to the day and I ditched him.. I know stupid. I was an idiot. He still gives me crap for it to this day.

I'm one hot mama... aren't I?

But Heavenly Father wasn't going to let us stay apart, and I mean it. Out of a crazy chance at a different club a few months later we saw each other again. He actually texted me! He ended up calling me and I promised to keep a date with him. A week later we went out to dinner that lasted nearly 3 hours until the restaurant closed. I knew right then and there John was not your typical guy and I like that. He spoiled me and for no reason, always doing special things for me and making me smile. We started our card "tradition" where we'd buy cards and write love notes to each other.

He's a lot taller than me (1 foot and 1 inch to be precise) so I can always wear fabulous shoes and oh how I love shoes.

We continued to date and honestly spent almost every day together, scratch that every waking moment together. If it wasn't together we were on the phone for hours (by the way he hates talking on the phone) He took me on amazing fun dates and we never had a dull moment. (Still isn't with him) I knew are relationship was getting serious and I actually quit my job to come up here to Utah to meet his family! I was a little overwhelmed and didn't know much about the Mormon religion. I had such a blast meeting everyone and and that's when I started investigating the Church. How many people get to brag that their husband was their missionary?

After we got home from the family trip to Utah things got even more serious with us! I started taking lessons from the missionaries and we moved in together. One month later he proposed. I knew it was coming, I actually stole the ring! I knew after the second date I was going to marry that man to be honest. I don't think I honestly knew what true love was before I met John. We wanted to stick with the "tradition" that his parents did. He bought me a "mart" ring from Wal-mart to follow along when his parents met and how his dad wasn't letting his mom go! I still have that "mart" ring and I cherish it, but I have to say I LOVE my real wedding & engagement ring.

He always makes me laugh

The day he proposed he took me all over town on a treasure hunt, running me everywhere, putting blind folds on me and surprising me with all kinds of things! I knew something was going on when he got me a cell phone on his plane! lol He proposed where we had our first date playing putt-putt in a suit and cocktail dress and since I already had the ring he gave he a matching Tiffany's bracelet and necklace. Best day ever.. seriously.

Anyways.. we eloped. We decided we didn't want to wait a year or so. I wasn't letting that man go to be honest! After less than 4 months of dating I guess sometimes you just know right?

We make cute babies =] really really cute ones that give kisses and hugs

I mean really he's the most adorable thing ever!

Now three years later I feel like our love has just grown more and more. We inspire each other to do our best and follow our dreams daily. We have a beautiful child and I have a wonderful step-daughter. But I've learned so much for him and he's been so patient with me growing and changing. Because you know we're 11 years (11 years and 1 week to be exact) different right? He literally robbed the cradle =] John is seriously my second half, he always finishes a thought for me and it's like he reads my mind because we are almost always thinking about the same thing. You'd think our personalities would clash because we're so much alike but it's so nice to have someone that's always on the same page and thinks like me.

Isn't this the best picture EVER. It's priceless

This Saturday we're getting sealed to be an eternal family forever. I'm so grateful for meeting him and him doing the missionary work to be a member and be with him forever.
