Hi my name is Stud what's yours?

So you know you have a cute baby when everyone smiles when you pass, people whisper about how happy he is in church to you, and anything he does gets him attention. Yep everyone that is my kid, I've got to say he's a little Stud already. People keep telling me I better get him a bodyguard cause the girls will be all over him here in a couple of years. (I hope not, I don't even want to cross that bridge yet let alone think about it) Alex has become a very cute baby, not that he wasn't just as cute when he was born but he's just get even more handsome. That goes great along with the funny things he has been doing lately. Along with him sitting up he's learned that he can take his pacifier out of his mouth (not one of mom's favorites) play with it, grabbing my cell phone and keys whenever they are in close reach, and making all kinds of noise with his mouth, arms, and feet to get any ones attention. Boy I thought it gets easier when they start to do things to amuse themselves.. well that was a joke. He's getting to be a big boy though too, even though I'm going to the gym I don't even think I'd need to pulling him around all day! He's enough for any person to get a nice workout on a daily basis.

Fun things I caught on camera:

I bought him his own cell phone so he'd stop trying to grab mine while I'm on it.. which he seems to like until he realizes there's no bright screen like mine

This is for John and the few of my friends who keep teasing me how my son is bald. (well completely anyways) HA. Proved it! He's just got dirty blonde hair. Love the fact that he decided to pose and suck his finger in his mouth.

This is another "milk induced" coma that happens on a daily basis, but this time this picture reminded me of a drunk guy passing out after one to many.

Trying to show the family back in Texas that I'm really practicing my sitting up to show you guys when I come!

And this is probably my favorite of the bunch, nap time with the classic pacifier in the mouth. I love taking candid little shots of him sleeping

In other fun news, I've been extremely busy running a bunch of errands and catching up on a few un-finished tasks, helping a pregnant friend pack, and packing myself. Yes it is true, the crazy Ferguson bunch is moving! Where to you ask? Not to far down the road really, I was hoping to surprise you all and say Dallas (which we will be making our next move fyi) but down the street a few miles well like 30 lol to Provo! I'm actually way excited to start a new adventure somewhere new! I've fallen in love with our new house and met a few people in the neighborhood before I made a decision and everyone is so nice! I think the ward is going to be great, especially cause there are a bunch of babies and the Bishop has a son Alex's age! I have only really been packing a day or so but we're moving this weekend. (Kind of spontaneous huh? You should just ask us about are last few moves) I've just been trying to get things in order to make the decision to leave or not. I'm actually very sad to leave my home I'm in right now because the people who own it are SO amazing and sweet, and I've made a bunch of friends in the ward and I'm just so comfy in this house. But gas is SO expensive right now (even though the price has gone down) and John commuting back and forth to Orem everyday isn't good money wise or for our car's sake.

But anyways.. it's been kind of weird no posting what has been going on but I seem to always be busy doing stuff and I'm just so not use to it! I better learn more and more to deal though cause I keep hearing it just gets more and more crazy when Alex gets bigger and I decide to have more. I really once again give props to all the mommies who have more than one and haven't lost their minds yet.

Well it might be a few days before you hear from me again, but I promise I'll be back with more fun updates and even some more good news. hehehehe...

I Can't Slow Down.

Ok, so I'm EXTREMELY busy and haven't had a chance to just sit down and blog. But I thought I'd share this cute and funny thing I found from a friends blog.

Pyzam Family Sticker Toy

Notice how John is much taller than us, and if I could adjust the height and weight on Alex so he didn't look so scrawny and tiny I would, cause he's much bigger in real life.

Anyways, I just wanted people to know I was alive and around, and I promise to jump start with new exciting posts next month.

Surprise Mom!

So we've been trying to get over the battle of Sitting-Up. Alex gets really upset if he's just laying around for more than a few minutes unless it's nap time. So I've been doing everything to keep him upright, either in his highchair, the "bumbo", couch, jumperoo, sitting in my lap, or him sitting up on John. Well after practice, practice and more practice Alex has finally accomplished his goal. It's not for a long period of time which would be fabulous but it's sure pretty great for a start. I just sat him up and sat back and snapped this photo while he was laughing and smiling.

I can't believe all of this is happening so fast, I'm shocked he's getting big so fast. Next thing you know it he'll be walking and talking and then school starts! I feel the same way Amy does, where is all the time going! I felt like I was waiting forever for him to be here and now that he's here I want time to slow down!

Mixed Emotions.

I've been up in down the last 24 hrs about the new I just found out. Your probably going to laugh and think I'm so ridiculously dumb. Anyways, I'll give you the bad news first, Harry Potter 6 got pushed to next summer which I find really upsetting because I have been SO excited to see it. They blame the writers' strike and that they have more success with playing the movies in the summer. Who wouldn't see Harry Potter in the summer, winter, fall or spring! UGH! I hate stupid excuses. The truth is The Dark Knight was SO freaking successful they don't need any more money this year, and why not have another great year if they push HP 6. The good new is because HP 6 got pushed to summer '09, Twilight got pushed up to Nov. 21st, I've been dying to see this so it's nice to know that it will be here sooner. I'm re-reading the books so I know what exactly to expect in the first movie.. I know most people don't like Robert Pattinson who is playing Edward, but I loved him in HP 3 as Cedric and I guess because I was barely done with the first book and saw the trailer with him in it, I pictured him as Edward in the rest of the books.

Ok lets get past that.. before I go on and on and bore everyone with this blog. We went fishing again this weekend, it helps us to get away but not go to far form home and enjoy some outdoors activities. It was really nice until the sun went down and Alex got hungry. I had to race to the car, make a bottle and turn the heater on! Yes you read it correctly the heater it was like 60 degrees outside and dropping. That would be SO nice if it was like that in the Valley! Of course by the time we got home it went back up into the mid-70s. But guess who caught dinner? I DID! Lol, I don't think I've actually caught a fish since I was like 6 or 7 but it was so funny cause I would literally put the pole down and they'd come after the bait! John caught two but I caught the other 3, guess the pro can't out catch the rookie over here! (I know I'm going to regret saying that when John reads this) We would of had 6, from the one our friend caught but John accidentally let him go. It was so much fun, but I didn't get any pics really I was trying to make sure the bugs weren't going to get Alex.

Here are the few I got:

**notice how he sleeps with his toys clenched tightly**

After Alex ate he was like in this milk-coma and didn't wake up until like 10 o'clock the next morning and was probably the happiest funny thing I've ever seen. I've learned if I wake him up before he wakes himself up then I might of well woken a baby tiger. He throws the BIGGEST fit ever. (But I can't be that surprised because so does his father) He's also started to throw a huge fit if we don't help him try to sit up by himself. He almost has it and can sit-up for just a little bit, but man so much for laying down and rolling around. He wants to be all grown up like the rest of us.

I wish I would of gotten a few picks with the sun just setting but that's it setting right over the mountains.

I realized when it's late, we're hungry, and we're all tired we don't take the best pictures. I think that's another reason why I love being able to edit photos :) But those are our fish that fed the 3 of us! John did such a good job cooking them and they we're delicious!

In other news, I am SOOOOO happy Michael Phelps pulled it threw and got all 8 medals, and broke 7 World Records! I watched every single race, and that second to the last was close. But we really is some kind of dolphin or something, I saw how they explained his body features and he was honestly made for the water!! The last 400m Medley was close for a bit but Jason Lezak pulled it out in the end!

Lastly, John has come to the conclusion that "Baby Sinclair" from the old TV Show Dinosaurs that I use to watch when I was like in Elementary School (hahahha) is our son. I have no idea why, maybe it's cause the baby does all kinds of funny ridiculous thing like our son.. I think it's hilarious. What I find even funnier is that I use to have "Baby Sinclair" as a toy when I was growing up!

I guess that makes John the Dad there on the left. hehehe

5 Wonderful Months

I wanted to post this a few days early because I will be extremely busy the next few days or so and I didn't want to miss this bi day! Who would of known the time has flown so fast? I can't believe Alex is already almost 5 months old, he's almost been around half a year! He's getting to be so big and is doing all kinds of fun new things daily, I never knew babies were really so much fun.

From this:

To this:

He's gone from being this little baby who needed all kinds of help to this big baby who is starting to do all kinds of fun things on his own! I couldn't ask for anything else in a baby, he's all I've ever wanted I really am so happy I had a boy first. I can't wait for him to be a big brother some day.. and to hopefully a girl! hehehe (Hey a girl can hope right?)

5 Fun New Things Alex is doing:
-He has become very ticklish, any time you blow raspberries on his tummy or start tickling him there you get a huge smile followed with his funny little laughs

-He loves to hold grab anything in sight. That includes all his toys, pacifiers and my hair. Probably his favorite cause he laughs when I tell him it hurts and to please stop.

-He's become so much stronger on his tummy, and he loves to just sit there looking at us and then roll around on his blanket after realizing he's got our attention.

-He's getting close to sitting up all on his own and gets so frustrated when he knows he's almost there! Totally reminds me of his dad, and I figure he'll just get more and more determined until he does it!

-And my personal favorite.. he holds his own bottle!! I love it, it makes me smile because I've tried helping him on his own from day one wondering if it'd actually work!

I love watching every new thing he can do, and I can't believe the time is really flying by this quickly. I remember just yesterday sitting around 9 months pregnant dying for this day to come. Now I wish I could slow it all down more so I can cherish every moment. I think that's why I video record and take so many pictures. I don't want to miss or forget a thing about him growing up.

I had this made and never got around to sending them out, and since now seems a little to late I thought I'd share it online.

Now I'm not saying that every moment has been all smiles and peachy as can be but overall having a baby has been the most amazing experience ever.. well other than marrying the man of my dream (love you babe) but being able to share someone special with him I think is equally wonderful. I never would of thought I was capable of not being selfish and doing everything my way in perfect order. Who would of known a little baby could change all that?

Back to work on Photoshop stuff... what a boring week it's going to be this week. hopefully that all changes here in a day or so! 3 posts in 2 days.. obviously you can tell something is wrong with me.

OH! And I am SUPER DUPER EXCITED too about the new Harry Potter. I CAN NOT WAIT! That and Twilight. BUT Harry Potter way more because this is going to be AN AWESOME movie. I wonder what they are going to rate it.. especially with the "Inferi" at the end. I have a feeling it will at least be PG-13. And I can't believe they are doing 2 movies for the last book.. hopefully they aren't to far apart. I hate having to even wait until 2010 to watch the first one! I've been following Harry Potter since the first book in 1998.. How CRAZY! It'll be like 12+ years of Harry Potter craziness. Oh well it's totally worth it. I'm seeing it in IMAX like I did the last one, i personally think it's better in IMAX.

GO FASTER!

So, I've been exclusively following the Olympics and I am a huge fan of Basketball, Swimming, and Gymnastics.. I watch them all but those are my favorites. I'm a HUGE fan of Michael Phelps and John and I are bouncing up and down screaming during all of his Finals.. poor Alex looks at us like we are nuts but starts to jump up and down with us in his bouncer. He's such a good swimmer!! 3 World Records broken, already 3 Gold Medals and 5 more competitions and he's tied with 3 old record holders for number of total medals! Hopefully he beats Spitz old record of 7 Golds in one Olympic!

Way to much fun!

Anyways.. I've also been trying to do some fun things with Photoshop and I thought I'd share..

Fun huh? And it really isn't that hard, I just started playing around. It's a lot bigger than what it is on here, I had to resize so you guys could see it!

Ok.. well a short boring post. Hopefully this week will get around to being a little more exciting!

Who woulda known

So I didn't think I was going to hit my record for going through a book in about a day, but I have to say Breaking Dawn was awesome. Everything happened the way I wanted it to, every loose end was tied up and worked exactly the way I wanted it to! I won't go into anything because I'd hate to ruin it for anyone else, but I'm so sad that this was the last one. It was such a great series, and I think I'm going to read The Host, just to keep up my reading spree. I almost wish I could of been Bella and experienced everything that happened through out the whole series. I'm the kind of reader that likes to imagine what's going on and be there in the moment. Every book just got better and I'm glad that the beginning of the book didn't go into to much of what happened between her and Edward. But anyways, I HIGHLY recommend the series and you can get them cheap at Walmart!!

I thought I'd show how my son changes weekly, he has a few new things he likes to do now. It's always something new and I love the fact that it takes me a few days to realize he has created a new habits.

He kicks back with his arm behind his head whenever he knows it's time to eat.. He will hold his bottle for awhile (with help of course) and then after a bit realize I've got it under control and relax.

This is what he does every time he gets a rattle or a hold of anything that he can grab. That and he won't let the thing go once he has started. He loves to have the toys that hang off of his car seat because he can grab them and pull them now. It's hilarious because out of no where the other day I was driving and heard the rattles that were hanging go off. It almost scared me.

I've been meaning to post but I've been so busy with things I just don't get a chance to do anything but read everyones blogs and email. Like I keep saying I can't believe the older babies get the more time consuming they are, who would of known? Lol, I guess I should of realized they can't swing and play with toys and enjoy it for forever!

Well other then reading with Breaking Dawn, I've been trying to catch up with some friends, and do some quality time stuff. John's been super busy working getting his new business he's been doing involving debt elimination. (no it's not like the consolidation stuff you do on the stupid TV ads you see on TV, it's way better and actually works) But anyways we had to get away a little bit so we had an awesome finishing trip and I snagged a few good pics along the way! That and I've been testing my new Photoshop skills.. I'll have to post some fun things I've learned.

The weather was beautiful it rained a little on and off no really coming down on us though, but we got some beautiful nature and sky pictures. I got beautiful pictures of the rainbows and all the animals.. it was nice to get some peaceful time with everyone.

Alex was having so much fun with John, that every time John would come anywhere near Alex he would start to giggle and smile. I had to capture some cute pictures of them together. Look at that perfectly round head.. I can't believe it's so round! Lol

Here's the first teeth pictures, he is so happy about everything. They aren't all the way out yet, but obviously noticeable.

Well that's about it, I have so much more to say but I'm so tired from doing stuff all day.

I love all the happy moments that I get to treasure of Alex, I can't believe I get so many compliments on how gorgeous, calm and happy he is.. don't forget happy.

Boys are just as fun as girls!

So, I thought I would give a quick update before I started my Breaking Dawn which I didn't get until Monday!! Totally had to wait and I was bummed until I realized I would of probably cut myself off from civilization completely and it probably would of ruined this weekend.

I'm dealing with what I feel is a crisis, I can't quite get back into all of my pre-pregnancy clothes.. well my jeans really which are the most important issue. All my pregnancy and post pregnancy clothes don't fit! Which is great, I'm not complaining but I thinks it's a waste of money to go out and buy clothes that won't fit here in a month or so. Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions feel free to help.. I guess I shouldn't be complaining life could be so much worse right? Lol.

John and I saw the Dark Knight about a week ago and I can't believe I never posted about it!! I keep talking about it non-stop, you would think I'd at least talk about it in a post! I LOVED it. Every minute and I wouldn't of change a thing in the entire movie. I can't believe how Heath Ledger did such an amazing job, I was so upset after finding out about his death in January. He was the perfect person for the role completely, and I hope he still receives an Academy Award or anything for his hard work. I have to go see it in IMAX now.. it's like Harry Potter I could see it a million times and still want to see it again!

Well in other news I thought I'd post these cute pictures of Alex, and say this: Boys are so much fun sometimes.. forget Barbie, I liked Ken better anyways. :)

Steph bought him this outfit and it's so cute! And his hat fits his huge Ferguson head! I love it, and can't get enough of it!

This was after a long day of running around and getting stuff done, he didn't get his full nap all day and he ended up like this while everyone was watching a movie. He slept so long that night I got up around 10 am wondering whether or not he was even here!

The first time at the pool was great!! Oh my gosh Steph and I got together and I was like well hey why don't I take him in? I had bought all the stuff for the pool why not use it right? Despite that look, he loved it! It was like a big bath tub and was kicking all over the place and watching the kids splash and stuff.

I thought I'd save the best for last though, I got this off my camera while I was taking pictures and I thought it was so cute and deserved to be shared with everyone! He loves his Rainforest Jumper, and I recommend it to any parent or parent to be!

Please ignore overly excited woman in the background, she sounds a little crazy.

Ok, well that's that. I'm going to get indulged in Breaking Dawn and see if I can break any records in my record book. I doubt I'll be able to put the thing down!

The Anniversary

So, I promised to post about our anniversary and how John and I met. It's actually kind of an interesting story, because we met on two different occasions before actually going out together.

Well, I actually graduated early from High School in like September of '05 and started working with friends trying to help promote some of the new clubs out in Dallas that February. It was really just a way to meet people and get in for free and have fun on Friday and Saturdays. John had maybe been living in Dallas for 4 or 5 months and one evening I went out with one of my best friends and a few other people to enjoy a Saturday night like usual. We were out dancing on the dance floor enjoying ourselves and having a good time mingling with everyone when we decided to go find some of our friends and this guy stops me. It was John and he just out of no where stops me and starts talking "Hey how are you?" and we go on talking for awhile until Christina decides she's ready to go find our friends. Him and I exchange numbers and he asks me if I want to go to a basketball game. Me being polite say "Sure sounds like fun" and tells him to call me later.

Anyways, a day goes by and I finally receive a phone call from him and we just start talking about anything you could imagine. He started telling me he got floor seats to the Finals of Mavs vs Lakers in Dallas and gave me the time and date. We kept talking on and off for a few days and I was somewhat interested in him but what I forgot to mention is that I was actually on and off with my ex-boyfriend and am not the time of person to step out on someone I'm dating. So, the day of the game I don't answer or talk to John, and he actually ends up taking his really good friend Scot and never calls me again. OK PAUSE. I know even if I didn't like the guy I missed out on an AWESOME game that John had floor seats to. I should of at least gone and enjoyed myself and called it quits after that. But stupid me I just blew him off and didn't think to much after that.

Well about a month or so went by (End of March.. beginning of April) and I ended the relationship with my ex and was feeling the single life after 2+ years. I was out having an awesome time with all my friends and still go out to the clubs, but this time actually trying to take an interest in new guys. I went heading up with Christina to the VIP area and I thought I heard someone call my name, but since no one stopped me I just kept going. John's friend Scot had actually spotted me and said "Hey look it's Brittany Spears, remember her" and that's when John realized he saw me again. He actually kept my number in his phone and texted me. Well I didn't save his number and so when I finally realized who it was we started going back in forth over texts. He had actually left with friends to go eat, so I told him to call me later and we'd talk.

Right then is where it all started. We started to talk again on the phone and one night I was going on about how irritated I was that there wasn't any food in the house and that I was going to have to get something. John actually offered to take me to get sushi and for the first time in a LONG time I was nervous!! We got together and I didn't have much to wear because everything was in the washer so I found the next best thing compared to my scrubs. We tried to find sushi for almost an hour but every restaurant was out of meat so we ended up at the Grand Lux Cafe (Upscale Cheesecake Factory) at the Galleria Mall and ended up being there so long that they were asking if we wanted anything else because the kitchen was closing. We had talked for almost 2 hours, and realized that it was so late that I had to get back for work tomorrow.

After that we were pretty much inseparable, we always talked and texted each other non-stop. And our Second date involved John picking out a cocktail dress from Neiman Marcus (that I still have btw) for me, a business meeting (which was BORING), a dinner at Ruth Chris were John paying for us and the couple next to us who spent their 50th Anniversary there, and playing Putt Putt all dressed up. I had so much fun I couldn't believe it was past midnight again so quickly! And after that I think he sealed the deal that he had caught my interest.

We went on a few weekend trips together, spent every minute together and did all kinds of crazy things. We celebrated every month of our anniversary together doing something new and fun an took turns every other month. By the end of May I came up and met the family and after that moment I knew we were going to be together forever. Things moved fast and a few weeks after our birthdays we got engaged. (Quick I KNOW!) And then August 1, 2006 we got married!!

That pretty much sums it up for the quick and easy version.. but I thought I'd let everyone know how we came to be and even though we barely dated we just knew it was meant to be. I think that explains how we always think of each other as soul mates, because we both knew right away and didn't need time to act our feelings!

Here are a few pictures of past anniversaries and events..

Flowers I decorated up to the door step, and if you look hard you might see a sheep sitting at the door lol

Those are ALL the cards we gave each other within the few months we dated.

Us at Aaron and Heidi's wedding completely in love with each other :)

Our 5th month together when John painted up the car and surprised me after I got off from work!

Us now, happier than ever with the most precious thing we share.

I guess when you know, you just know.

How Sweet

So you've probably read about how we met and how John's version is slightly.. ok who's lying. How John's story is WAY off the the deep in compared to mine. He likes to think (and tell everyone) I was completely obsessed with him from the get go and couldn't find enough time in the day to be with him. Lol My story tells it a little different, but it did ended up being true later obviously. I thought I'd split the posts so I don't have one LONG post and bore everyone to pieces.

Last year was a little crazy with Vegas, Grand America, Roses everywhere and me being pregnant. And well this year I wanted to do something a little more low key A. Because we wanted to include Alex B. Because I knew I couldn't run buck wild because I'm responsible for someone now and C. Because I just wanted to enjoy a quite night with the love of my life.

Well right at midnight John does his usual HAPPY ANNIVERSARY chant and screams and after awhile of talking about the past and how we met we finally feel asleep. I woke up that morning and while Alex was still asleep I cooked John breakfast and talked about how excited I was to be with him and the things I had planned.

-First go get my hair done which I was SO happy to do
-Buy John something made with cotton since on your 2nd anniversary you buy cotton (lame but I thought I'd make him laugh)
-Grocery shop because I YES ME Mrs. I don't cook, was going to be cooking dinner
-Go to the post office and pick up his gift
-Start dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening at home

My hair, buying John cotton and grocery shopping went great without even an issue actually. I was getting so excited and was so thankful that nothing was going wrong. Well, I shouldn't of even thought that because I get to the post office and his gift isn't even there!! I was totally irritated because I had ordered it forever ago and it took forever to ship! I actually bought him a new wedding ring because his last one doesn't fit and I think he misplaced in the move from our apartment to our house. I tried to get over it and went home and started cooking but realized I had things missing which I bought from the store and Alex had been out all day and getting him to take a nap wasn't the easiest either. So we scratched dinner and John did something fun, unique and different like he always does.

He already given me my gifts because well if you know me well enough I hate surprises and can't wait to receive gifts. I got the new Breaking Dawn book which I ordered a week or so ago, a full treatment of getting my hair done, roses (which I love btw) and a promised night we can go to a movie and have dinner.

This what he did just for fun, he bought a few different candies and told them how it represented us.

1- Sometimes we're sour but together we're always Nerds
2-Because I'm his main squeeze.
3- Right now I'm married to Hubba Bubba (He's still got some pregnancy weight to work off..LOL I laughed so hard)

4-Jewlery isn't cheap but how about next best thing, a Ring Pop
5-He thinks of me as his Sweet-Tart
6-John loves me, but sometimes I can be an Airhead

I love how he is so creative, how he makes me laugh and almost always smile no matter what, how he's been there through every single tough time, loved me unconditionally, and been the most amazing father ever. I can't wait for every year because it just keeps getting better. I love you so much John, and I can't wait to get sealed and be together forever! We have come so far and now have an even better life together with our son. Ready for another?

Hahaha just kidding.. not quite yet.
