Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Boy that was a mouth full wasn't it? I'm just a tiny bit stressed. Ok maybe a lot! I am so excited to move, actually we all are! Who doesn't want almost double if not triple the space to live in? I hate packing.. it's always a pain and I never enjoy it. But because I've moved a few times I've learned something. I started packing a week or two ago and it's completely helped a ton, and now all we have is our computers, beds and a few toys.

**There are no pictures.. sorry in advance. I just can't seem to want to edit/post pictures...?

But Father's Day was GREAT! John got spoiled more than I did on Mother's Day. Oh wait.. didn't we go pick up a dog named Lady for John and Alex on Mother's day? Lol, just kidding sweetheart I love you and you spoil me all the time! Any who, John got woken up and gifted with a digital picture frame he's been asking for, the Forever Strong movie.. and not to be forgotten his new Macbook Pro. Why so much?

Well, a few weeks ago we made the decision that we both need our "own" stuff. Look we're both Gemini's and SOMETIMES we're gonna bump heads. So we decided that we'd upgrade computers and get our own laptops. We both got Macbook Pros which we love (if you don't have a Mac we need to talk... seriously they're amazing) and now we're not having to play the sharing game. We both gotta do work ya know?!

Anyways.. other that.. that's it. Alex is a little anxious because he knows something is going on, but he's still telling me what he wants! He's talking like crazy and I'm really learning to understand the gibberish. He's also growing like a weed and we went to Gap the other day and he's wearing 2T in some stuff now! Gezz kid slow down a little PLEASE! I've also lost some weight surprisingly? I haven't been the best worker-outer the last week because of the move but I'm still dropping the weight. I seriously with it would stop because now my clothes that I actually LOVE are too big! I guess it's time for another baby eh?

My little talker.

I told you I'd pop in from time to time, I know it's been a hard few days but here I am!

Ok so I've finally done it everyone! I've learned how to interpret the gibberish, and holy cow who would of known? Alex sure is talking and I was worried he wasn't! The kid has to say at least like 25+ or so words and as little talks with the dog and I daily. I really think he thinks Lady is another toddler and will respond back to her like I do. Cute little thing.

Mr. Mischievous

I heard him say about 6 things in about 2 minutes, does it just magically start? Because man the kid was just talking on and on lately and half the words I got and the other I haven't quite figured out. I mean he was like literally talking my ear off! He said yes, please, why, yum, more, and thank you! He's also gotten out of the "shy" stage and tells everyone hi. I hated that stage although it didn't last long and I hope it doesn't come back. He also doesn't seem to be clingy much anymore and that is the HARDEST part of this age and I'm so glad it's dwindling. I think it helps having a nanny, him being around other kids and going out to lots of places! Alex has also started making his own decisions and telling me what he wants.. seriously I thought I had a few more months or YEARS before that started! He's so funny though.. you gotta see it to believe it!

He's also picked up trying to swim sort of? He likes to flop around in the water and put his face under? Literally scared the pants off of me the first time, but he thinks it's fun and he gets the concept to hold his breath. Where does he learn these things.. Sprout?

Lady with her ears cropped

Lady is getting huge, this isn't to much of a recent picture but man she's big! I can't imagine her 70 pounds in a year or so!

Other than that you will all know me as a famous star here soon! lol I won't get into it TOO much, but lets just say I'll be doing some fun stuff in the next few weeks! By the way, my blog is almost ready.. I'll post on Monday the blog address, it's my temporary blog until my website is up!

Sorry this isn't long and exciting but I didn't want you all to think I'd forgotten you guys! Oh and sorry for the bad images, I can't ever seem to take fun pictures of those two when I have my camera out.

We're in the middle of moving officially... pray for me.

I'll be back.

Ok, so I have some sad news to say... I'll be busy for the next few weeks and I might not get to blog. . . at all. I'm just preparing you for the huge hole in your life, I know you depend on my updates but don't fear this isn't forever. Good news is, are move has been pushed up and we'll hopefully be in our new place around the 27th of June. I've also been SUPER busy doing shoots, editing, being a mom, and a dog sitter. Oh and might I add packing?

I'm really trying to focus on getting my new blog up and going, especially now that I have shoots lined up all the time. But I promise when things are straightened out I will be back and I will run both blogs. Now I'm not saying I won't pop in and say hi and post pictures but my 3-5 times a week posts will be hold.

Just a little taste of what's to come

Just know that I love you all. It will be ok. Just don't call me at 2 am and beg for updates. Promise?

Get ready for my new blog though, it's gonna be sweet. That and I'm building a website and many other things, I'm just to excited.

Best Buds

I had a great weekend this last weekend, I seriously love the weekends and can't wait for fridays to get here. John and I love to relax and hang out all weekend and be lazy! This last weekend was more eventful than the last few because I had 2 photo shots this weekend that went so well! I'm in the process of editing but I seriously had a blast with everyone! Also, I'm trying REALLY hard to have my new blog up and going by the end of the week, I know the waiting is just killing you all.

my two kiddos

Alex and Lady sure do love each other, those two seriously are so worn out by the end of the day! They both take naps at the same time too! Alex loves to play ball with Lady and this is how I caught the two of them all weekend. I never would of thought Alex would want to be that CLOSE to her.

Alex having a conversation with Lady

I think even though we've had our ups and downs with the dog, in the end she was totally worth it. Every single penny.

I got a new investment for my photography, I've been dying for another lens for my camera and since I'm still waiting to get my sb-800 back from Nikon. (It broke.. and it wasn't my fault!) Meet the 3rd love of my life Mrs. 17-35mm what an amazing lens!

Alex has been speaking a whole lot more lately, he now says hi to everyone, thanks us when we give him something he wants. Along with dog, door, yes (along with nodding his head yes) who is it, what is it and where is it. He's learned how to roll his eyes??? Don't know where that came from but it's hilarious, he also likes to spin around in a circle and fall on the ground when he gets super dizzy and he's now climbing onto everything. He tries winking but I don't think he quite has it yet and he also picks up the phone and says hello now, it's hilarious cause whenever someone calls he thinks it's for him! This age is seriously so much fun.

I'm also getting more excited for our move!! I can't wait to have more space, Alex's toys are everywhere! We also have someone who is renting our place, that's a huge relief because I was so worried we wouldn't find someone for some reason! We also met with the Stake President to get the last of our things finalized for our sealing. Sheesh... after a year I'm so ready!

Let's getting things going already.

Hello, my name is Leah and my life consist of days that go non-stop and me trying to be a cook/maid/mom/photographer all a once. On top of all those wonderful things I'm planning my sealing and also trying to pack and move, I do believe at times I am losing my mind and might be on the brink of insanity. But no worries, today I am still normal.

I've been asked, and begged and also threatened to talk about what's going on with my sealing plans.. they're going good, I've just realized why the heck I never had an all out wedding the first time.

The Dress

Ok wait wait. hold it. This isn't the dress, it's a inspiration. I would die/kill/eat worms for that dress. I always have a knack for picking the most expensive thing in a collection without even knowing it. But on another happy note, I found the most amazing lady who's making my dreams come true for my **modest dress. I say modest because if I could have it my way I'd be wearing that strapless Pricilla of Boston^^ I've been drooling over . (THANK YOU SO MUCH RAE! I couldn't make this all possible without you!)

-The caterer, although sometimes flaky on calling me back they seem very tasteful. I just need to pick all the food out which I have a feeling will be a lot harder than I think. I might always well tattoo Mrs. Indecisive on my forehead.

-Have my color theme and invitations all picked out I love the black and white traditional colors (because it's better if it's plain and simple trust me), just need to get the final touches done to the invitations and have them printed. YES you read correct, printed because I am also a procrastinator.

This is the pattern =]

-Finding those perfect fun shoes to wear with the dress, who wouldn't want to wear a pair of $700 Jimmy Choo's. I would, but oh wait that's just not practical. I think about all the photography equipment I could buy with that..is that weird? Although they're not Jimmy's they're still fun and I can't wait to wear them.

-Got an amazing photographer who I can't wait to work with, I'm doing fun non-traditional pictures because I want to be unique! I mean when you spend countless hours reading blogs, coming up with poses and ideas why wouldn't you want your favorite of the two taken of you! Did I just rhyme? Wow, I'm on a roll..

-The reception hall was the hardest, I mean seriously over $2,000 for a room? That's with no chairs, tables or anything. Nope I'm not having it, because once again here comes Mrs. Practical who can dream and imagine that, that $2,000 buys her a d700. We're having it at a fun location, and most of you know. If not you'll see it on the invite =]

-Decorations.. I don't even want to go there. I wasn't even THINKING about this until my cousin's turn my world upside down and came up with amazing ideas. See, told you I'm losing it I mean how do you forget decorations? Seriously. I'm just lucky to have amazing family that have flawless style.

-Flower arrangements, well that's the only thing I haven't quite figured out yet. Let me re-introduce myself again, Mrs. Indecisive. I love orchids, they're to die for really.

Now, do you really have to wonder why I eloped?

All Mixed Up.

Well the news we've had going back in forth for awhile has arrived. We're moving, yep it's true. John and I have talked about this for awhile and we've both actually had mixed emotions about it. We love our ward, and our callings but with us living in Provo and John working in Salt Lake the commute is to much on us. Beyond that I'm practically living at the doctor's office and it's messing with John's work schedule. We're moving closer to family, and closer to Salt Lake.

John is excited that it's a one story. Alex just likes that he has space to run around!

I'm sad but happy it will make our lives easier, I'm happy because it's a house and has a finished basement for my photography/home theatre. I'm sad because as much as I hate how small our place is, I have friends right across the street. I'm excited for a huge fenced back yard, but sad because I have to mow it and pick up poo. (I know you wouldn't to hear that last one) I keep going up and down about it but I know it's right because we prayed about it all. Sometimes you have to make changes to better your life even though you don't always agree.

Oh my how we've grown.. Lady is getting so big!

The one thing I'm not looking forward to is packing and moving. yuck. But I am already starting to pack and go through the basement I'm even considering have a garage sale.. a small one at least. Gotta get rid of the junk! If any of my friends or neighbors close by have an old boxes to spare they'd be greatly appreciated!

Could I even ask for more?

I never know what to expect when my birthday comes around every year. Ever since John and I got married I find myself always getting so surprised when my special day comes. John and I are exactly 11 years and 1 week apart, surprising huh? He's over a decade older than me.. and I find it funny when people who don't know ask how we even got together let alone married. We'll I wont' go into that TOO much but I'm a lot more mature than most girls my age and well I just knew I was going to marry John after a month or two of dating.

My birthday weekend was AMAZING, I say that because John always makes me so happy and does everything to spoil me royally! Whether it be him making me breakfast, taking me to dinner, or buying me cute and fun gifts! I'm actually SO grateful John supports me in my photography business because that's mostly what I asked for, for my birthday. I got some AWESOME antique props for my photography, he tried to by me the lens I'd been literally drooling over for months but it was out of stock. (oh well that's what's online shopping is for!) I won't list everything since it was a lot, but I got a ton of stuff and I love it all! I am so shocked John got me everything I wanted! =]

But besides the gifts John and I decided to spend our birthday getaway up in Park City.. bare with me we had so much fun I forgot to take pictures! I dropped Alex off with Libbie (THANK YOU for watching him!!) and we made our way up to have sushi at the Flying Sumo since I love Sushi so much! Of course that didn't fill John up so we headed across the street to Prime Steak House where they were offering a 2 for 1 Entree and John totally got hooked up with Fillet and Lobster Tail. John ALMOST got the piano payer to sing me Happy Birthday, but I wasn't having it! We then went out for the evening and had fun talking about old memories and I was so pooped I feel asleep!

We woke up the next day and both slept in until 11am I don't remember ever sleeping that late! It's sure been awhile, Alex usually sleeps until at least 9 but never 11! It was so nice to wake up refreshed and not have Alex calling me down the hall or Lady whining to go out and go potty! I think I deserve a day like that more often! John and I then headed home and on the way stopped at this AMAZING Boutique that sold awesome antiques... and everything was 50% percent off! I bought a few great props and I can't wait to use them. I've been looking everywhere for adorable props!

After all that we went to go pick up the dog and Alex and I seriously drove it bumper to bumper traffic for 30 minutes and got maybe a mile until I jumped off the highway. I haven't had traffic like that since Dallas, it was irritating!! I spent some time trying to do a short shoot that I decided to continue next week and then John and I spent the rest of the evening cuddled on the couch watching the Discovery Channel. I know weird right? It's seriously all we watch, I love watching about nature and wild life it fascinates me.. I dream of shooting pictures over in Africa on all the beautiful creatures. Bet you never would of guessed that we watched that huh?

This is just here since you're about to see a ton of pictures at once (I couldn't forget pictures of my kinda cake!) I love Hotels even though I lost bad!

I woke up Sunday to my husband playing with Alex and taking care of the dog, oh and cooking me breakfast! I love when John cooks he is such an amazing cook, and it's always a treat to be able to have both of the kids taken care of and happy! We then went to church and tried to get in for our interview with the stake president but realized it'd be at least an hour with the line we were waiting in and headed over to John Sr. and Libbie's house for dinner! They made my favorite tri-tip and 7 layer bars! It was all SO good I felt spoiled! It's also a tradition in my family that everyone usually calls and tells you happy birthday, but every year my mom and dad tell me the story of how I was born. I know cheesy but I love hearing it especially when I miss them and I'm so far away! My Aunt who is like my second mom also called and every year she brags of how she saw me first! And finally my grandmother who is such an amazing woman never forgets to call me and wish me happy wishes and talk to her grandson! I feel like this day was so special you have no idea!

I really was enjoying myself I swear!

Yum!

Happy Birthday to me!

We enjoyed the rest of the evening yes again, watching Discovery Channel. I'm sad it's over but it was a wonderful birthday and I can't believe I'm 21. I can't even explain how different I look on life and how much I've changed. Boy, I wanted this day to come since I was like 15 and here it is.. here. And it just feels like another birthday but happier than I could of imagined.

He loves Grandma's golf balls SO much.

Here's a shot of what mos of the living and dinning area looks like.
