Quick Ending

Well where to start? I've been meaning to blog about a few things but one thing in particular; Twilight. I actually saw it the day after it came out with John and surprisingly I liked it a whole bunch! Now needless to say that the books were obviously far better but I really enjoyed the characters and the some of the funny dialogue. I know a lot of people hate Robert Pattinson who was casted for Edward but I actually loved him because he was who I envisioned it all of the books I read (remember I read them over the summer) and he's a major cutie. I thought Kristen Stewart who played Bella did a great job, even though people think the acting was horrible I actually felt like she fit the part well. And beside what the critics say I can't wait for the next one!! We also saw Transporter 3 this past weekend which was good except for the girl.. I hated that, Jason Statham plays those actions roles well but not with the gushy girl stuff. We were suppose to see Four Christmases but ended up putting that off because it was John's turn to pick the movie and he was dead set on Transporter 3.

Beside that we had an awesome break, it was SOOO nice to have quality time to spend as a family and just relax. John and I are always busy doing something and always seem to run ourselves ragged and when the weekend finally rolls around we enjoy a day or maybe 2 if we're lucky and then it starts all over again. But I cant complain because I love to be busy, it's so much better than twiddling my thumbs.

We woke up for Thanksgiving and actually slept in until 9, went by Libbie's and caught up with Heidi and Aaron and got to see Will. Who by the way is very cute with his chubby face, I have to post the picture that Libbie took with me holding both boys in HEELS, I never knew I was that coordinated I guess I was almost balancing myself out! It was funny to hold them both cause Will was so comfortable on my arm and Alex was nearly breaking the other, I swear some days I feel like I'm going to break my back carrying that kid around. But it was cute to see Alex try and attack Will's hair and grab his arms and toes, it's always fun to see babies play. Then we met up with the Ferguson side of the family to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at Jack & Michelle's which by the way was amazingly delicious. We hung out played a few games until Alex started to conk out in Grandma's arms and the turkey was starting to kick in. We enjoyed the rest of the day being lazy and watching football which btw GO COWBOYS & UT!!

We actually watched a whole lot of football this weekend which surprised me cause by the end of it I thought I was going to beat the snot out of John with a football. I feel bad though cause I really didn't take to many pictures because I was trying to catch up with everyone in the family. Oh and we watched Fred Claus and Hancock which were both great movies.. we both had seen Fred Claus before but it was still good a second time around I love Vince Vaughn.

Friday involved shopping because it was "Black Friday" a fun day to try to catch some deals!! It sure was crazy though and you wanna know what is irritating? That people here in Utah go nuts over it, they're super rude and try to fight you on the gifts, parking places.. I mean everything! UGHH!! But I did enjoy the sales at Walmart, Target and The Children's Place which had AMAZING deals.

And not to mention this.. this really just made me explode! We went to Los Hermanos for lunch today and you know the plates are always hot.. which btw I think is stupid cause our food wasn't even steaming hot. But anyways Alex always sits in the highchair and plays with stuff.. well when the guy was bringing the food John WARNED him to not put the plate down where Alex could touch it.. what did the idiot do? Put it right in his face and poor pumpkin burnt his hand! But that's not even the kicker, the guy has the audacity to come speak to me when John is in the bathroom and STILL bring me the check, he never even had his manger come over.. ridiculous. Now I understand that when you don't have children of your own you don't realize certain things but I mean how difficult is it to listen? I worked in several restaurants and even though I had never had any experience with children I knew better!! But John found the manager who was a very sweet woman that must of had children of her own because she felt horrible and that she would take care of the situation. People just don't think sometimes, the least he could of done was be mature and speak to both of us with his manager. But Alex is doing just fine we put some cold water on it and although it's still red I don't think he's got any blisters.

And now Sunday is here and I'm glad to go to church tomorrow and enjoy one more day of relaxation, even though it was over so quick!! I'm still praying that Alex's 6th tooth cuts here soon.. it's like every other tooth of his decides to be stubborn!! Although Alex is crawling backwards and crawling forward when it's a necessity he's learning to stand. Yes.. scary!! John caught him standing in his crib the other morning and he now frequently tries to in the living room. And now that Alex can go from sitting to crawling vise versus he now amuses himself in his crib in the morning by playing with his toys and giving us extra time to sleep! Hooray!

I'm super excited Christmas is right around the corner!! Next thing I know it'll be Alex's birthday!

What a Turkey.

So I thought I'd squeeze in one more post before Thanksgiving, and share a few more photos I had taken by an old school friend of Heidi's. To make a long story short I found a link on her facebook for an awesome $25 deal for one person, one outfit, for one hour. I definitely wanted to take advantage of it since I hadn't taken any in-studio shots of Alex since he was about a month old.

I had all these fun outfit for Alex but since we just did outfit photos and he lovesss being naked.. I thought this would be cute and priceless...

Navy Babylegs and a navy hat with orange stripes..

All I can say is he is such a photogenic baby!!

Trying to crawl towards the camera..

He reminds me of an Egyptian Sculpture here for some reason.. he's got something for his hands. Look at those dimples in his bumb!!! LOL!

He loves his toes and his feet, we tried to snap a picture of him putting them in his mouth but no luck.

Chewing on his hands.. oh did I mention tooth #6 is cutting through?

AH! I love these photos and I had so much fun photoshoping them! I love Photography.. I'm obsessed actually. I love how chubby my little pumpkin is! I seriously could cook him for dinner.. he's the size of a big juicy turkey!!

Those big blue eyes get me every time. Man I hate that he's growing up..

P.S. So Christmas is only a month away and I was DYING to put up my Christmas template I made. I just love it!!

It's here.

So things have been a little crazy around here with Thanksgiving coming up and me trying to fit everything into my day including 4 rounds of solids, entertaining an 8 month old, cleaning, exercising and trying to get dumb errands ran. And I'm kinda undecided for Black Friday.. John and I did go to Walmart last year at 10 or 11pm to see what they were doing their deals for and it wasn't anything special.. but now that Alex is here I'm dying for deals on awesome toys.. so I guess we'll see, but if I do I will be at some places at the crack of the morning making my lovely husband come.

But here are a few of the Winter/Fall photos I've been meaning to post... we got the Master Collection CS4 from a friend and I've been going nuts on it.. She knows who she is and I LOVE her.

The photos speak for themselves and I felt no need for captions. Alex did great by himself and would of chosen it to be all about him if that was possible. We had so much fun even though it had been raining all day, Lindsey spent 3 hours with us and had to of taken close to 1,000 pictures. We were all pooped after the entire thing and took a nap when we got home. She did SUCH an amazing job and she's way fun and sweet! I was SO worried about how they'd turn out with the weather and low and behold they're amazing.

I've decided I'm going to go to school for Photography.. I may not ever do it for a job but it's truly turning into a passion of mine. I'm going to save my money and buy the Canon SLR I want and the lenses and all. I'm actually so excited about it, it's something that has been keeping me up at night. I've gotten my answer from my prayers and it's going to be something I'll be doing here soon. Now it's either going to be BYU or the U and I'm leaning on the U. So since John is working in Salt Lake we'll sooner or later be heading back up there which makes a prefect opportunity for school. That and I have tons of family and friends to practice on.

Well I'm excited and now ready for bed and some more crazy stuff. If I don't post before Thanksgiving, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy all the food! Oh and don't forget what we are Thankful for!!

Tagged

We have over 4,000 pictures alone JUST on our computer so I had no idea what I was getting into, but Mandy tagged me and after a few days of lingering I looked in my 4th Picture File and My 4th Picture.

This picture is from Aaron and Heidi's Wedding in May of '06. This is actually a great picture of John and I, we both were at our favorite time in our lives, completely in love, we were both tan, both in great amazing shape, and became completely 100% committed to each other and swapped the "I Love Yous" for the first time.

I knew at least from there on we were getting married and that big gorilla was going to get to spend the rest of his life with me (plus eternity) and once we got home I started taking the lessons from the Missionaries.

What a fun way to be tagged.. and since it my turn to tag people, I pick... Rae, Katie, Heidi, and Amy. I expect you all to do it like I did.. who knows you might be surprised like I was!

Oh.. P.S. John and I finally got our callings.. John is Varsity Scout Leader/Teacher Quorum Advisor (HE WAS SUPER EXCITED!!) and I'm Activities Day Leader for the 8-11 yr. old girls. I am very happy because it's actually a blessing in disguise.

Put a sock in it.

So lately we've had this huge issues of Alex putting everything in to his mouth.. somethings are cute and some are funny and honestly some are disgusting.

Examples:

His feet
Our Toes (GROSS!!)
His Toys
Our Toys (Cell phones.. Ipods.. Computer Parts)
His Fingers
Our Fingers
His clothing
Our Clothing (Socks..T-shirts..etc.)

Pretty much ANYTHING he thinks finds fit for his mouth.. but this cracked me up. He did this ALL on his own with no help from us, although I've imagined what it'd be like with him a little more quite.. just kidding. He actually took the socks off after chewing on his feet and stuck them in his mouth.

See he has all the other great things around him.. gosh even the remote!! What does he want.. his dang socks.

I guess boys will boys.

8 Months Old

So this post is coming a day early but I felt like because I have this free time I would write about some fun things that evolved over the last week or so. I'm still kind of shocked when people ask how old he is, because it's almost been a year and I'm so surprised that it's flown by. I've honestly enjoyed every moment with him, and am so grateful that I have such a happy and healthy baby.

I love this outfit! Bubby made the hat and scarf and it's SO adorable! Little French boy!

Alex is now crawling, he doesn't do it all the time but when he wants something or us he's gotten down the motions enough to get to what he wants. He's also learned to finally sit up on his own, which actually happened this weekend and shocked me to death. Alex feels that he can get somewhere faster if he rolls and only likes to crawl if it's completely necessary. As stupid as it sounds it's true and he rolled over into our dining room the other day and all the sudden John says he's sitting up on his own. I didn't think much until I realized John never got up to help him! I was so shocked I couldn't believe it, next is standing and walking!

Cute huh? See how snug it's getting in that car seat?

And yes can you believe size 5! I've NEVER had blow-outs with Alex, I know some babies you can't help but I always just changed diaper sizes when it looked like anything close to that. Well he's been having a few lately and I guess I haven't realized how big he is! Libbie weighed him at her house and she said he weighed 26 pounds, but when I weighed him twice at friends houses it was closer to 27 1/2! I guess we'll see when we go to his check up coming up here soon. Gosh and the 12 months clothes I bought not to long ago are already starting to get tight! I can't believe we're ready for 18 months here soon! I'm so shocked, I never would of thought I'd have THIS big of a baby! And talking about size.. Alex can barely fit in his car seat. Yep.. so much for that extra possible 4 months or so. Nope, he's way to long and I have no slack left for the belts to loosen. I'm kinda of irritated about the fact that the car seats are as much as I paid for my Travel System. But the upside is he'll last a year or two or even more *crosses fingers* than the car seat I have. The last month or two we've been doing the "big boy" tub and showers with dad. Those baby tubs irritate Alex so bad, he's so uncomfortable! So we started to carefully do the "big boy" tub and make sure to watch him carefully because although he sits-up with no problems and for long periods of time I'm still scared to death he's going to drowned or something. It's probably been the main reason I haven't blogged because I worry grabbing the camera might be that few seconds something might happen.

Playing in the bath tub is always fun but getting him out is a whole different story

He's become such a little character too, he's always smiling and laughing and I love that he's so ticklish. He's so active, but still sleeps amazing well and loves his 3 naps a day. If he doesn't get his naps that days are tougher and he gets more clingy. I've also noticed all the smaller toys he plays with aren't as fun as the bigger ones. I bought a few that I found on sale and he seems to be much more entertained than the rattles and plush animals. Oh and the computer is still one of his favorites, but since I got a new phone he watches TV on my cell. The LG Dare has SO many awesome features, but the whole TV thing is great because he loves to watch the toddler shows and even though it's a short fix sometimes 5 minutes is heaven. I just hope after his 6th tooth cuts, I'll get a little bit of a break. I'm very jealous of all of you moms that got to have a few relaxing months of no teeth.

The "milk coma" is still around, and it's so funny when you compare pictures. They're all the same he's just gotten bigger lol

I never really realized how much time a child really can take up in your life. I'm always doing or thinking about something to do for Alex. It amazes me! He eats actual solids up to four times a day and always wants to try what I'm eating. He wants to be the main attention when we are out to eat and loves to sit in the high chair and bang silverware on the table. I keep thinking things are gong to get easier but I'm starting to realize I still have a few more years. I think his first word is coming... and I'm getting thrilled for a little communication!

He was all dressed up for church and after we got home he just feel out for like 3 hours. Who knew church could wear a kid out?

Now that I look back I didn't mean my post to be this long but I guess I couldn't help talking about how fun Alex has been. I just wish it wasn't going by so fast.. or if I could rewind a little! I guess I need to blog more so I don't go on and on about things I've been forgetting to talk about.

He's going to be a real life size one of these one day.. and I can't wait!

I'm getting the fall/winter pictures this week and I promise to post them. I actually got to see them all and they came out amazing. Thank you so much Lindsey you were amazing!

Oh and did I mention I'm entering him in a Gerber Baby contest? I've gotten it so much that he looks like a Gerber baby I thought I'd enter him and see what happens. I thought it'd be fun since he's such a cutie.

I've just been busy, honest.

So I kind of feel like a bad blogger because I've been home form Dallas for over a week and I still haven't found anytime to get a blog entry done. Yeah yeah I know I'm a slacker, but it's always been something going on over and when I finally found the time to get to blog it was Monday and we had to do our fall/winter photos. That and I have been sick lately, no cold or anything just really bad migraines and dealing with a baby and a throbbing head is enough for me for a day. So this won't be a long post about my trip even though it looks extremely long, I kind of let the pictures do all of the talking.

I promise to update more often so my entries aren't so huge.. because it's probably another excuse why I haven't blogged. Well, lets just say this, my trip was short and sweet.. I was so glad I was able to go 2 months earlier because I was able to relax and spend time with my family, catch up with friends and enjoy some things I love about Texas. But when I went this second time it was a WHOLE other story. I didn't even realize until about less than 24 hours before my flight that I was actually leaving.. pathetic right? Yeah I guess I wasn't really prepared either since I forgot several important babies need while packing. But I realized the 11 am is just as good as the 6 am and will definitely be shooting for a later flight than the earliest.

I was lucky because it was right around Alex's nap time and he fell asleep before the plan even took off, he did however wake up in the middle wanting to play and in desperate need of a diaper change.. and making me consider going to size 5 in diapers which is almost scary because then I only have size 6 after that.. what do you when you have a big kid! After all that was handled he watched some shows on the computer that I lugged along and fell back to sleep an hour or so after the flight. So all in all it was a great flight and the flight attendant doted on how handsome and happy he was.

After I got off the plane is when all the fun and craziness began.. but no worries, Alex did a whole lot of this the entire trip, sadly I was lucky to get 5 hours every night because I was so busy getting things done (probably why you don't see any pictures of me)

I guess I didn't realize that my cousin's whole wedding was really going to take much of my time and it was going to be so hot there. I had checked the weather and everything and for some reason I still packed a few winter thing thinking it would cool down. Nope I ended up buying more unneeded summer things to get him by for the 5 days I was there. I love how the weather is completely different every where, I left and it was nice on Halloween and blazing hot in Texas.. and you know what I come home to! This...

AH! Kind of unexpected and a little cold since I had got use to the 80s there. At least I was smart and packed Alex some winter clothes to change into on the plane.. I'm always trying to be prepared! I spent tons and TONs of time with family and got to see everyone which is pretty much the most important thing. I got to enjoy Halloween with my cousins who hung out with me until I went to bed and they went out to a few bars dressed as The Hair Dresser Police, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, and The Hulk transforming... I laughed so hard because my cousin Josh who was the hair police had the best costume and I loved the wig. I thought it was hilarious that Amy thought that was John because I could only imagine what he'd look like and what I'd have to do to talk him into it.

I spent some times with my parents who got to enjoy Alex and see how big he had got, but I promised my mom I wouldn't post any pictures of her because she has no make-up on... lol if you know me I'm the same way too. I got to see the best dog on this earth. MY DOG.. Blackie who although is getting old is still pulling it out and doing well.

Did I mention the wedding was beautiful? I had SOOOO much fun and danced and sang and ate and danced some more.. I'm so glad Melissa is a part of our family she is SO sweet and awesome. I've got so much to say about I figured I used the pictures to talk about all the fun things that went on.

Beautiful centerpiece isn't it? Gave me some ideas for my sealing!

So they signed the ketubah (marriage contract), raised the huppah (symbolizes the home the couple will build together), exchanged rings, and stomped on the glass, but the wedding's not over yet! You always got to do the Hora (chair dance) probably my favorite part of the wedding!!

This is Kirk's (my cousin) Grandmother and Danny dancing, she's 93 years old and stuck it out for the ENTIRE wedding. I wish I could of made it as long as her, probably would of if I didn't have someone baby-sitting Alex but man I looked at all the photos and she's actually there until the END!

Alex loves my entire family, I mean loves everyone and will play with anyone in a 2 foot radius. But he got really attached to my cousin Josh because Josh always wanted to play and Alex just had so much fun!

That's Josh doing an up-do for a class he teaches for L’Oreal, he's not only a teacher for them he does AMAZING hair.. and I wish he lived here so I could have him do my hair all the time. I'm so proud of him, he's come so far and made us all so proud!

Monday I spent time with one of my friends Jessica who had here baby about two months ago, I got to see how big Braylon got in that time and he's still super adorable, I wanted to just take him home!! Alex was really obsessed with Braylon, and I was kind of surprised at first how he acted. He was talking and all he wanted to do was touch him!

Braylon is a little freaked out because I don't think he's seen someone close to his size and trying to attack him. Oh and Thank You Rae for the adorable outfit that I forgot you bought.. even though it didn't really fit (my fault) it worked great for Dallas.

And not only does Alex put his feet in his mouth, he TRIES to put John's toes and my toes in his mouth.. but he likes babies too. I don't mind the whole his toes.. but we walk on our feet YUCK! Lol.. And trust me you know when Alex has your toes.. you can feel his wonderful teeth. He actually tries to put my nose and John's hands in his mouth! Ugh! And he's crawling.. man maybe I should say that is making me exhausted. He only does it at our house so far because anywhere else he wants to play with the carpet... I think he's only crawling because he knows thats the only way to get his toys. My cousin Kim is partially deaf and we talked about Baby Sign Language.. I think I might try it.

Alex and I were happy to get home because even though it was a short trip we both missed John, and every time I said daddy Alex would smile and clap! He was so ready to be with his dad.
Well, that's about it for now.. I have tons more to blog about but I promised myself I save them for other entires.. I can't wait to go back to Dallas in a few more months!!

P.S. Guess who is teething again? Yep, we're on tooth number 6.. lucky me.

A little bit of this and that

So this is going to be short and sweet. My trip was fabulous and I promise to blog all about it and the wonderful temperature difference from Texas to Utah, but ever since I have been home have literally never been home! We are doing our new photos with this awesome photographer I found and I've been dealing with outfits, getting things back in order since I left (cleaning, mail.. blah blah things John forgot to do, men!) and Alex getting all over the place he's really getting so close to full on crawling ( he knows what to do, but is like a snail) it's nuts and it sure as heck keeps me busy!

But in the mean time...

A very happy baby ready to get on the plane and clapping as we wait...

**And no this is not John lol but it'd be hilarious if it was

My crazy family on Halloween which I LOVE to death (they definitely put the fun in Halloween)

A beautiful wedding of two people who are perfect for each other

I have tons to talk about but I thought this could be a fun teaser in the mean time..

But I have to be up for church in 5 1/2 hours and I have no idea why I picked now to do this.. oh wait I know. Cause this is the only time I have both my boys asleep. Whew.
