I've just been busy, honest.

So I kind of feel like a bad blogger because I've been home form Dallas for over a week and I still haven't found anytime to get a blog entry done. Yeah yeah I know I'm a slacker, but it's always been something going on over and when I finally found the time to get to blog it was Monday and we had to do our fall/winter photos. That and I have been sick lately, no cold or anything just really bad migraines and dealing with a baby and a throbbing head is enough for me for a day. So this won't be a long post about my trip even though it looks extremely long, I kind of let the pictures do all of the talking.

I promise to update more often so my entries aren't so huge.. because it's probably another excuse why I haven't blogged. Well, lets just say this, my trip was short and sweet.. I was so glad I was able to go 2 months earlier because I was able to relax and spend time with my family, catch up with friends and enjoy some things I love about Texas. But when I went this second time it was a WHOLE other story. I didn't even realize until about less than 24 hours before my flight that I was actually leaving.. pathetic right? Yeah I guess I wasn't really prepared either since I forgot several important babies need while packing. But I realized the 11 am is just as good as the 6 am and will definitely be shooting for a later flight than the earliest.

I was lucky because it was right around Alex's nap time and he fell asleep before the plan even took off, he did however wake up in the middle wanting to play and in desperate need of a diaper change.. and making me consider going to size 5 in diapers which is almost scary because then I only have size 6 after that.. what do you when you have a big kid! After all that was handled he watched some shows on the computer that I lugged along and fell back to sleep an hour or so after the flight. So all in all it was a great flight and the flight attendant doted on how handsome and happy he was.

After I got off the plane is when all the fun and craziness began.. but no worries, Alex did a whole lot of this the entire trip, sadly I was lucky to get 5 hours every night because I was so busy getting things done (probably why you don't see any pictures of me)

I guess I didn't realize that my cousin's whole wedding was really going to take much of my time and it was going to be so hot there. I had checked the weather and everything and for some reason I still packed a few winter thing thinking it would cool down. Nope I ended up buying more unneeded summer things to get him by for the 5 days I was there. I love how the weather is completely different every where, I left and it was nice on Halloween and blazing hot in Texas.. and you know what I come home to! This...

AH! Kind of unexpected and a little cold since I had got use to the 80s there. At least I was smart and packed Alex some winter clothes to change into on the plane.. I'm always trying to be prepared! I spent tons and TONs of time with family and got to see everyone which is pretty much the most important thing. I got to enjoy Halloween with my cousins who hung out with me until I went to bed and they went out to a few bars dressed as The Hair Dresser Police, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, and The Hulk transforming... I laughed so hard because my cousin Josh who was the hair police had the best costume and I loved the wig. I thought it was hilarious that Amy thought that was John because I could only imagine what he'd look like and what I'd have to do to talk him into it.

I spent some times with my parents who got to enjoy Alex and see how big he had got, but I promised my mom I wouldn't post any pictures of her because she has no make-up on... lol if you know me I'm the same way too. I got to see the best dog on this earth. MY DOG.. Blackie who although is getting old is still pulling it out and doing well.

Did I mention the wedding was beautiful? I had SOOOO much fun and danced and sang and ate and danced some more.. I'm so glad Melissa is a part of our family she is SO sweet and awesome. I've got so much to say about I figured I used the pictures to talk about all the fun things that went on.

Beautiful centerpiece isn't it? Gave me some ideas for my sealing!

So they signed the ketubah (marriage contract), raised the huppah (symbolizes the home the couple will build together), exchanged rings, and stomped on the glass, but the wedding's not over yet! You always got to do the Hora (chair dance) probably my favorite part of the wedding!!

This is Kirk's (my cousin) Grandmother and Danny dancing, she's 93 years old and stuck it out for the ENTIRE wedding. I wish I could of made it as long as her, probably would of if I didn't have someone baby-sitting Alex but man I looked at all the photos and she's actually there until the END!

Alex loves my entire family, I mean loves everyone and will play with anyone in a 2 foot radius. But he got really attached to my cousin Josh because Josh always wanted to play and Alex just had so much fun!

That's Josh doing an up-do for a class he teaches for L’Oreal, he's not only a teacher for them he does AMAZING hair.. and I wish he lived here so I could have him do my hair all the time. I'm so proud of him, he's come so far and made us all so proud!

Monday I spent time with one of my friends Jessica who had here baby about two months ago, I got to see how big Braylon got in that time and he's still super adorable, I wanted to just take him home!! Alex was really obsessed with Braylon, and I was kind of surprised at first how he acted. He was talking and all he wanted to do was touch him!

Braylon is a little freaked out because I don't think he's seen someone close to his size and trying to attack him. Oh and Thank You Rae for the adorable outfit that I forgot you bought.. even though it didn't really fit (my fault) it worked great for Dallas.

And not only does Alex put his feet in his mouth, he TRIES to put John's toes and my toes in his mouth.. but he likes babies too. I don't mind the whole his toes.. but we walk on our feet YUCK! Lol.. And trust me you know when Alex has your toes.. you can feel his wonderful teeth. He actually tries to put my nose and John's hands in his mouth! Ugh! And he's crawling.. man maybe I should say that is making me exhausted. He only does it at our house so far because anywhere else he wants to play with the carpet... I think he's only crawling because he knows thats the only way to get his toys. My cousin Kim is partially deaf and we talked about Baby Sign Language.. I think I might try it.

Alex and I were happy to get home because even though it was a short trip we both missed John, and every time I said daddy Alex would smile and clap! He was so ready to be with his dad.
Well, that's about it for now.. I have tons more to blog about but I promised myself I save them for other entires.. I can't wait to go back to Dallas in a few more months!!

P.S. Guess who is teething again? Yep, we're on tooth number 6.. lucky me.
