The Visitors

Sorry this took so long but I've been so busy trying to do so much and I had so much to say so this is a long one. Last week was even more nuts, Thursday and Friday were seriously crazy for me I was trying to attempt to clean my house while Alex either followed along or tried to assist in any way possible. I had to get the bottom level done the first day, and the top done the second. Probably because I'm a HUGE clean freak and I had to do everything from mop to laundry. I was glad I did it though because I always like to welcome visitors to a nice clean home!

My cousins got in super late, Kim got in at 11:15 and Josh around 12:45 due to Dallas DELAYED flight. Let's just say it was a LONG night, and we had to go get a late night snack at Denny's. Another reason why Provo I can't wait to get the heck out of Provo, why is it packed at 2:30 in the morning?? And I won't even start on the rude and obnoxious college kids (don't worry not every college kid is that way) and the service was HORRIBLE! The food was cold and I've never ate french toast that tasted like socks. I am boycotting Denny's for life.

Who wouldn't do things like this after getting in at 3 am??

We're seriously not afraid of acting out in public on a regular basis

But.. after sleeping in we spent a full day up at Park City! I've never in my life shopped so much and I shouldn't be surprised because I had 2 people who LOVE to shop with me. Alex got a TON of stuff for his birthday, both my cousins and I had to buy every cute thing we saw. I love going up to Main St. in Park City with all the fun boutique shops, I could spin hours and a butt load of funny there. And to our surprise we saw Ray Liotta in a coat store, he is one of my FAVORITE actors. I loved him in Good Fellas and he's done all kinds of amazing work. But I didn't go up to him and ask for a picture because I can only imagine how often he gets that and how annoying it can get. But he did talk with John since they both had a similar coat in mind for buying.. I'm not going to say I wasn't completely jealous.

Alex over shopping and thinking it;s time for a nap.. don't you love that hat? I wish they had one that fit him!

Since my cousins are Rossignols who wouldn't buy things with your last name on it??

We shopped until the sun went down, and then went to eat Indian food. When Alex made us laugh hysterically and the whole restaurant thought we were looney. It was so funny, and you have to see the video on my facebook. We stayed up late and talked and had to catch up, it was SO nice to have family to spend time with. My cousins are more like my brother and sister, we have such a close family we joke around on each other like siblings.

That's Mr. Pro coming down the bunny hill and me following.. I swear I've never seen someone pick up a sport so fast!

Us EXHAUSTED I mean completely tuckered out. Can you tell?

Towards the end of their trip we went skiing, which was honestly not as easy as I'd thought it be. Right when I was about to give up I mastered the bunny hill, and my cousin Josh who was a 1st timer also, had me beat still. We decided to find a beginner hill and lets just leave it at I should of stayed on the bunny hill a little longer. I was surprised that I did so well, and I'm considering buying my own gear to get me to go more. My cousin is definitely in love with skiing and buying all his gear asap. Kim watched Alex the entire time because she doesn't like skiing and they fell in love with each other. She's going to make an AMAZING mom.. I've never seen someone so sweet and patient!

Alex waving for the camera.

The day they left we all went to Cafe Rio which they loved and Kim and I got mani & pedis cause I most definitely needed one. Alex got spoiled more and I got my hair cut before Josh left THANK GOODNESS! I trust no one but my cousin with my hair after the horrible experiences I've had in the past. And I've decided to stop coloring my hair since I love it natural... blonde is fun but ends up destroying my hair in the long run.

Their favorite part, seeing things like this.. the scenery was beautiful is all they could say

Going to the airport was tough, I hated to see them go. Poor Alex cried and I wasn't to happy myself, fun thing is though we discovered new things about Alex.. well I did. I figured I'd leave that for the next post!

Alex became obsessed with Kim and Josh and couldn't get enough of them! He's such a poser for the camera!

I was SO sad to see them go, but I can't wait to go to Dallas soon. I love being my family.. and I feel like we're getting closer to moving back there. Thank Goodness, I don't know how much more I can take!

  2. AWESOME! I went skiing ONCE... ended up seperated from my kids, crying by some big old tree, lost... it was sad. Needless to say... if I take Jackson in the futre... I will watch him only, not ski with him... that's Jeff (Mr Black Diamond himself)'s job.... Mandy is right - Alex is DARLING in that hat... I would've loved to shop ALL DAY... fun fun fun!!! xoxo (PS: love the new spring background)
